I opened the closet to neutrality,
It dawned upon myself as a fatality,
I withered to accept a binary,
Societal dismay, withstanding brutality

Identity doesn’t abide by a framework,
Gender doesn’t define a person’s quirk,
Disrespecting a dignified individual,
On the grounds of a norm so dismal

Obliged to exercise the identity expression,
I fail to realise the catastrophic repercussion,
How mortified a glory of rebellion might divulge,
How orthodoxism empowers a stereotype to judge

Intolerant towards arguments deeming of sexuality as a phase
Queer as it accounts, I recognise as an identity,
Irrespective of gender yet worth of equity,
Emphasising on humanity to embrace difference for tranquillity.
